Lactic Acid - Derived from the fermentation of milk, it is an Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), that acts as a keratolytic, helping to encourage the shedding of cells in the stratum corneum to encourage new cell growth and also acts as a hygroscopic substance (humectant), having the ability to attract or absorb water molecules from the surrounding environment.
Peppermint Extract - Derived from the plant found throughout Europe, it produces a cooling sensation due to the compound menthol, which has antiseptic and anaesthetic properties.
